BioCryst Pharmaceuticals is committed to improving the lives of people with rare diseases through innovative therapeutics. The internship provides hands-on experience in Market Access, Patient Services, and analytics, allowing interns to contribute to meaningful projects that impact patient lives.
Support Market Access and Patient Services reporting and analytics by assisting with pulling, organizing, and validating data from multiple internal and external sources to help monitor business performance
Help prepare summaries, dashboards, and basic analyses to support Market Access, Patient Services, and other commercial leadership in identifying challenges and opportunities
Conduct payer policy research by reviewing coverage policies, formulary decision and utilization management criteria, and summarizing key insights
Prepare presentations and reports translating research findings into actionable insights for decision-makers
Participate in professional development workshops, networking events, and intern showcases
Other duties as assigned to support the Strategic Data Insights & Operations team
Qualification
Required
Working towards a Bachelor's degree in the life sciences, business, marketing or related discipline (minimum 3.0 GPA)
Demonstrated interest in market research, analytics, or business strategy (coursework, internships, or extracurriculars)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize complex information clearly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Creative thinker with a passion for learning and continuous improvement
Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Proficiency in relevant software or tools (if applicable)
