Zions Bancorporation is a financial services company seeking a Quantitative Modeling Analyst intern for its Corporate Quantitative Analytics group. The intern will support the design and development of statistical and machine learning models, prepare and analyze datasets, validate forecasting results, document modeling processes, and help create reports and presentations for senior management.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of statistical/machine learning models to support various initiatives utilizing predictive modeling
Construct and clean datasets in preparation for analysis and use in building forecasting models
Perform accuracy and quality checks to test model forecast results
Write documentation that explains the process used in developing models
Create summary reports that highlight forecasting methods and results
Help prepare presentations for senior management

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or a related field
Experience with one or more of the following statistical software tools: Python, SQL, R, SAS
Knowledge of statistical and econometric modeling methods, as well as machine learning
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines

Preferred

Understanding of accounting, financial statements, and banking products is a plus
Proficiency in working with large data sets is a plus
Experience with technologies such Google Cloud Platform, GPUs, and Git is a plus
