Coherent Corp. is a global leader in lasers and engineered materials, seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to join their SiC Data Systems team for Summer 2026. The intern will gain experience in real-world manufacturing data analysis, data visualization, and contribute to projects supporting the manufacturing of next-generation semiconductor materials.

Responsibilities

Wide project possibilities: manufacturing KPI analysis, automated data visualization, and equipment / human error detection
Guided ownership of entire project pipeline: problem identification, process discovery, solution design, and implementation
Close collaboration with software engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders
By the end of the internship, a prototype of the selected project is expected

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date
Education Level: bachelor's degree (rising senior) or master's degree
Majors: Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or other related STEM fields
Must be US citizen or permanent resident
Excellent written and verbal communication
Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed
Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and time management
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual)
Compliance with all applicable export control regulations

Preferred

Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience in material science or manufacturing is a plus
