Presbyterian Homes & Services is a non-profit, faith-based organization seeking an Information Technology Intern for its Corporate IT team. The intern will assist with supporting data-driven decision-making processes, working with large datasets, performing data analysis, and developing predictive models.
Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns.
Collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various sources.
Developing and validating predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
Communicating findings and insights through data visualizations and reports.
Assisting in the deployment and monitoring of data science models in production.
Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics.
Performing other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
This position will collaborate with the Data Scientist and the internal full-stack developer to understand and assist the interoperability between the two disciplines.
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Familiarity with SQL and database management.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
