Presbyterian Homes & Services is a non-profit, faith-based organization seeking an Information Technology Intern for its Corporate IT team. The intern will assist with supporting data-driven decision-making processes, working with large datasets, performing data analysis, and developing predictive models.

- Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns.
- Collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various sources.
- Developing and validating predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
- Communicating findings and insights through data visualizations and reports.
- Assisting in the deployment and monitoring of data science models in production.
- Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
- This position will collaborate with the Data Scientist and the internal full-stack developer to understand and assist the interoperability between the two disciplines.
Qualification
Required
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with SQL and database management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
