Milliman’s Indianapolis Health practice is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst Intern to support consulting work with Life Sciences companies. The intern will analyze health datasets, implement data analysis plans, and communicate findings while receiving mentoring from colleagues.
Implement data analysis plans to address project objectives
Learn and use coding languages to analyze data and check for reasonability of results
Build user-friendly and dynamic Excel models
Utilize strong problem-solving skills
Effectively communicate data analysis findings to the consulting team (verbally and written)
Work efficiently in a multi-task environment
Work both independently and collaboratively on projects
Qualification
Required
Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, data science, statistics, economics, or another related quantitative field
Experience with Microsoft Excel or other similar software for quantitative analysis
Experience with coding languages (e.g., SAS, R, VBA, SQL) and a desire to learn more
Will have completed Bachelor's degree or higher, in an analytics or mathematics-related field, and available for full-time employment by fall 2027 or summer 2028
