New Jersey Resources (NJR) is offering a summer internship program aimed at motivated college students interested in the energy industry. As a GIS Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by using ArcGIS for spatial data management and assisting with field research and data collection.

- Use ArcGIS to digitize, edit attributes and update spatial data
- Assist with field research and data collection using GPS equipment
- Review and verify the address information to assist in successful geo-coding activities
- Scan and archive maps
Qualification
Required
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and entering senior year pursuing a Bachelor's degree in physical sciences (geography, geology, environmental sciences) or engineering
- Valid New Jersey State drivers' license
- Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August)
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for student visas
Preferred
- Completion of a GIS or Computer Aided Drafting course is preferred
- Knowledge and/or experience with GIS is a plus
