New Jersey Resources (NJR) is offering a summer internship program aimed at motivated college students interested in the energy industry. As a GIS Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by using ArcGIS for spatial data management and assisting with field research and data collection.
Use ArcGIS to digitize, edit attributes and update spatial data
Assist with field research and data collection using GPS equipment
Review and verify the address information to assist in successful geo-coding activities
Scan and archive maps
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and entering senior year pursuing a Bachelor's degree in physical sciences (geography, geology, environmental sciences) or engineering
Valid New Jersey State drivers' license
Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August)
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for student visas
Preferred
Completion of a GIS or Computer Aided Drafting course is preferred
Knowledge and/or experience with GIS is a plus
