GEO Group is a global leader in evidence-based rehabilitation committed to providing innovative programs. The Engineering Intern will support engineers in evaluating technology solutions in AI and machine learning, while also managing and analyzing data.

- Assists BI Labs members on projects and be a contributing member of the process.
- Develops test plans.
- Collects, labels and methodically manages datasets.
- Prepares and analyzes the data using a variety of ML model building tools.
- Collaborates on analysis and creation of interim and final reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- A portfolio of two or more projects related to data science and visualization as part of a course project or independent study is also required.
- Knowledge of data science basics and programming in Python.
- A solid grasp of statistics and statistical techniques.
- Experience with data visualization and graphing techniques.
- Knowledge of AI and ML toolsets from Azure, AWS or Google.
- Meticulous attention to details.
- Excellent communication skills to convey research findings.
- Ability and willingness to learn tools and techniques to assist in evaluating new technologies.
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
Preferred
- Graduate or undergraduate student majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields preferred.
