ByteDance is a technology company that develops content creation platforms and services. They are seeking a Data Scientist Intern to join the TikTok Monetization Products data science team, where the intern will work with complex data sets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision making.
Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical methods
Design, analyze, and interpret insights end-to-end on a project from data requirement gathering to data processing, modeling, and impactful business recommendations
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities requiring the use of sophisticated analytical and modeling techniques
Design, execute, and interpret results of experiments (e.g., A/B testing)
Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to team leadership and influence strategic decision-making
Qualification
Required
Currently in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytic etc)
Experience with data querying and manipulation using SQL, Python, or R
Experience with data analysis in a scripting language (R, Python, Matlab)
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred
Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver.
Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.
