CSL Behring is a global leader in biotechnology focused on developing innovative biotherapies and vaccines. They are seeking a Data Science Co-op to support analytics projects and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
Work under the guidance of the data science team to undertake analytics projects and to support the building of analytical applications across CSL. The range of analytical problems may span the breadth of organizational functions and may require the application of descriptive statistics, predictive analytics, simulation and optimization.
Teamwork is a crucial skill; the position will require working with business stakeholders as well as technical stakeholders to deliver solutions.
Contribute to data management, data engineering, and analysis across projects.
Plan and develop analytics projects based on business and technical requirements.
Work with business stakeholders and other members of the data science team to understand internal and external data required to achieve analytical project objectives
Present analytical findings to other data scientists and business stakeholders
Make recommendations for operational changes and improvements based on analytical findings
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a 4-year university with progression toward an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative areas
Ability to write code in python, SQL, and/or R
Familiarity with some form of statistical modeling and machine learning
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
Demonstrates flexibility and acceptance of assignments and schedules
