Otis Elevator Co. is seeking a Data Science & Analytics Intern for Summer 2027 to transform operational, financial, and customer experience data into actionable business insights. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze enterprise data, develop analytical and AI solutions, and communicate recommendations that support business performance and strategic decision-making.
Partner with Data & AI team members and business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and define project requirements
Identify, access, and integrate data from multiple enterprise systems and platforms
Clean, transform, and analyze data to uncover meaningful insights and business opportunities
Develop and evaluate analytical models, machine learning solutions, or AI/GenAI workflows to address business challenges
Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations that support operational and strategic decision-making
Communicate results, insights, and recommendations through presentations, visualizations, and discussions with team members and stakeholders
Stay current with emerging data science, AI, and analytics techniques and contribute innovative ideas to ongoing projects
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program and have completed at least 12 months of graduate study in Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Must be actively pursuing a degree and remain enrolled in an accredited degree program following the internship start date in Summer 2027
Hands-on experience with data analysis, data manipulation, and AI/GenAI technologies
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools is preferred
