In this role, you will work with colleagues in the JNJ Innovative Medicine R&D Data Science & Digital Health organization to apply advanced data science and analytics to answer key research questions in healthcare.
Analyze and interpret genomic, health and adverse event record data.
Develop and implement standardized (AI/ML) computational and validation pipeline including preprocessing, integrating, and visualizing genomic and health record data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including preclinical safety, data scientists, and bioinformaticians to translate computational insights into actionable insights.
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing master’s or PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Biology, Biomedical Informatics, or related quantitative discipline.
Strong working knowledge of data mining and machine learning.
Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, R.
Familiarity with predictive modeling and analysis of large datasets.
Strong technical communication and presentation skills.
Preferred
Knowledge of epidemiology and experience in analysis of healthcare datasets: claims, EMR/EHR, survey, observation studies.
Familiarity with developing AI/ML based scores and/or validating AI/ML models.
Experience or familiarity with genetics including GWAS, cross-species gene-conservation metrics, phylogenetics, or concordance analyses.
