They are seeking a Data Science AI&I Intern who will function as an artificial intelligence and informatics researcher, applying expertise in data science and machine learning to various studies.

Responsibilities

Functions as an artificial intelligence and informatics researcher by applying data science, artificial intelligence and informatics, and machine learning expertise to the design, implementation, analysis, interpretations, and reporting of research, clinical and administrative studies.
Work with the team to develop and evaluate reinforcement learning models for navigation and decision-making in visually complex environments.
Collaborate with research team members to refine model performance and integrate components into larger systems.

Qualification

Required

Working towards a PhD degree in data science, computer science, mathematics/statistics, informatics, computer engineering, or related field
Research experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science or related field preferred
Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving expertise
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Must be highly motivated, willing to learn, and demonstrate initiative in assigned tasks

Preferred

Experience with reinforcement learning on visual data or visual game environments
Strong programming skills in Python
Familiarity with custom RL environments or OpenAI Gym
Practical experience using PyTorch
