They are seeking a Data Science AI&I Intern to utilize artificial intelligence and informatics skills in data management and analysis, collaborating on data collection and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

The candidate will utilize artificial intelligence, informatics, and programming skills in data management and analysis.
Will include collaboration on data collection methods, writing, and archival, as well as the application of appropriate statistical methods for the analysis under the direction of the artificial intelligence and informatics consultants.
Work with the team to develop and evaluate reinforcement learning models for navigation and decision-making in visually complex environments.
Collaborate with research team members to refine model performance and integrate components into larger systems.

Qualification

Required

Working towards a Master’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics/statistics, informatics, computer engineering, or related field
Proven written and oral communication skill are essential
Ability to think logically and systematically analyze and evaluate alternate solutions in problem solving

Preferred

Previous work experience or course work in artificial intelligence, machine learning or data science and use of software packages for data management and statistical analysis
Previous experience in programming languages such as R, Java, C++ or others
Experience or familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems
Proven competency to work independently
Experience with reinforcement learning on visual data or visual game environments
Strong programming skills in Python
Familiarity with custom RL environments or OpenAI Gym
Practical experience using PyTorch
