EchoStar builds solutions that help families and communities stay connected. They are seeking a Data Governance Intern to assist in profiling and cleansing large datasets, support documentation of data assets, and collaborate with data stewards on governance policies.

- Assist in profiling and cleansing large datasets to improve data quality
- Support the documentation of our data assets by contributing to the data catalog and mapping data lineage for our AI Office
- Help monitor data pipelines and identify potential issues
- Collaborate with data stewards to apply and enforce data governance policies
Qualification
Required
- GPA 3.3 or above
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a related field of study
- Must have 60 credit hours completed by May 2026
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
- Familiarity with database concepts (relational and non-relational)
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
Preferred
- Exposure to data quality or data governance concepts is a plus
