Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking a highly motivated intern for their Data Analytics team for a period of 6-8 weeks over the summer months. The intern will be involved in the end-to-end lifecycle of data, supporting the team on practical tasks and delivering a small project that demonstrates their learning.

Responsibilities

Learn the team’s data environment, pipelines, tooling and documentation standards
Assist in extracting, cleaning, and validating datasets from internal sources and APIs
Implement or enhance ETL/ELT logic under guidance, using the team’s chosen tools and workflows
Help build or refine data models and metadata to support analytics and reporting
Develop dashboards or reports to answer specific business questions or measure KPIs
Troubleshoot data issues and investigate anomalies
Present a final demo/walkthrough of the assigned project and provide a short written handoff for future maintenance

Qualification

Required

In the first or second year of an engineering or mathematics degree
This position requires the ability to obtain a BPSS clearance
Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status

Preferred

A strong academic record at GCSE and A level/IB
Strong communications skills
Evidence of successful teamwork
