Altera is seeking a Data Analytics Intern within the Demand Planning team. The role involves supporting the evaluation, validation, and deployment of cognitive demand planning systems leveraging AI and machine learning, as well as contributing to data analysis and reporting activities.
Support the evaluation, validation, and deployment of next-generation cognitive demand planning systems leveraging AI and machine learning capabilities
Work closely with the team to test system functionalities, validate data inputs and outputs, and perform scenario-based analysis to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and business applicability of advanced forecasting models
Assist in comparing system-generated insights against existing planning approaches, helping to identify gaps, improvements, and opportunities for enhanced decision-making
Contribute to data analysis and reporting activities that support system testing and business validation efforts
Analyze forecast data across key accounts and verticals, prepare datasets for testing, and support the development of dashboards or visualizations to monitor system performance
Collaborate with cross-functional partners and help document key findings and observations throughout the testing and rollout process
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis
Experience with Excel (data manipulation, pivot tables)
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with machine learning or statistical modeling
Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau / Power BI)
Experience working with large datasets and performing exploratory data analysis
Interest in supply chain, business operations, or demand planning
