Gartner is a global provider of business and technology insights that helps enterprise leaders make data-driven decisions. The Associate Data Analyst Intern will support analytical projects across Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights and Product Management organizations, applying statistical analysis, machine learning, AI, data visualization, and data pipeline skills. The role involves communicating findings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing client data and analytics projects.
Support high-impact analytical projects to drive business insights across Gartner’s BTI and Product teams
Develop skills in statistical analysis, executive-level communication and presentations, cross-team collaboration, and data visualization
Gain hands-on experience and training with the latest LLM tools on a range of analytical and business problems
Apply modern machine learning and AI techniques to real business problems with measurable client impact (e.g., defining features of high-impact content and/or client conversations, identifying top areas of client demand)
Collaborate with analytics, project management, and data engineering teams to support end-to-end visibility into how data science outputs influence business outcomes
Assist with the setup, management, and streamlining of data pipelines for multiple data science and analytics projects
Partner with Gartner’s Chief Data Office (CDO) to help manage large volumes of client data
Partner with colleagues to deliver actionable insights that drive decision-making within the BTI and GPM organizations
Effectively communicate findings to drive adoption and implementation; build dashboards and reporting as needed
Own and deliver aspects of key projects, including rollout plans, success criteria, and metrics
Develop domain expertise on Gartner’s data, analytic tools, reports, and data infrastructure. Take initiative in problem solving, root cause analysis, and devising testing methodologies for validation, and clearly explain data sources to senior audiences
Collaborate with cross functional teams including data scientists and Information Technology team, to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency
Qualification
Required
Academic experience involving analysis of large volumes of data, with hands-on experience using analytical tools
Ability to gather, analyze, restructure, and articulate insights from qualitative and quantitative data
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (2028 graduate), preferably in a quantitative field such as statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, operations research, computer science, or economics
Demonstrated ability to approach complex problems, think creatively, and communicate data-driven stories
Willingness to learn and develop problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in teams, engage with stakeholders, and demonstrate initiative
Eagerness to learn and develop leadership and influencing skills
Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SQL, Python or R
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently
Candidates must reside within a reasonable proximity to a Gartner Center of Excellence office location (Irving, TX)
