The Data Analyst Intern will support the Estimating and Pricing team by organizing historical pricing data, creating structured information libraries, and helping senior estimators and leadership use data for competitive bids and strategic decisions.
Take messy, fragmented information—spreadsheets, old reports, and legacy folders—and transforms them into a structured, categorized library that our senior estimators can actually use
Bridge the gap between "raw data" and "business intelligence." If you enjoy the satisfaction of taking a chaotic pile of information and creating a clean, logical system where everything has its place, you will thrive in this role
Work closely with leadership in the Tactical Solutions business area, seeing firsthand how data directly influences the competitive bids and strategic decisions of a global defense leader
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Perform other duties as necessary
Qualification
Required
Must have completed your sophomore or junior year and be enrolled in a degree program for the fall of 2027. We will also accept students enrolled in a graduate degree program
Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
Completion of college-level coursework focused on data management, database fundamentals, or business analytics
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data cleaning)
A demonstrated ability to organize information logically and a keen eye for detail
Preferred
Coursework that blends technical data skills with business application (e.g., a Business Analytics minor or an Operations Management course)
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) or basic SQL knowledge
Previous experience (even in a non-technical role) where you had to categorize large amounts of information or improve a manual process
Ability to explain *why* a certain data structure was chosen, rather than just *how* it was built
