Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain one or more databases with the ability to integrate with existing internal tools
  • Develop scripts or applications to extract, analyze, and summarize data in meaningful, actionable ways
  • Integrate the use of Artificial Intelligence wherever applicable to maximize engineering efficiency
  • Collaborate directly with ATS engineers—both onsite and virtually—to understand customer issues, hardware teardown insights, and software workflows
  • Participate in discovery sessions, requirement gathering, and solution design with guidance from ATS and AMS Print program management
  • Document technical approaches, processes, and outcomes clearly
  • Support investigations into hardware or software behaviors to expand your understanding of the business

Qualification

Required

  • Junior or senior currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or another closely related technical field, preferably with a focus or coursework in Artificial Intelligence
  • U.S. citizen — no work authorization sponsorship is offered now or in the future
  • Local to Boise, Idaho — relocation is not provided
  • In‑person availability required for onsite collaboration with ATS engineers
  • Returning to school after the internship
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday during standard business hours
  • Ability to write code and develop basic data systems (e.g., Python, SQL, NoSQL, or similar)

Preferred

  • Data science knowledge (coursework or hands‑on experience preferred but not required)
  • Program management or project coordination experience (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with integrating databases with dashboards or analytical tools
  • Interest in understanding hardware teardown processes or software debug workflows
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a technical environment
  • Students attending an Idaho‑based university are preferred
