ABB is a company dedicated to helping industries run leaner and cleaner, and they are seeking an AI & Data Scientist Intern for Fall 2026. In this role, the intern will gain practical experience by collaborating with teams on digital transformation initiatives and supporting the implementation of AI projects.
Collaborating with various teams to support ABB’s operations, ensuring effective coordination and timely project completion within the defined timelines
Support digital transformation initiatives across multiple areas, such as Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, Manufacturing, supply chain, and finance
Work with the Business Process Management team to implement AI projects in collaboration with senior Data Engineers and Data Scientists
Assist in developing and deploying AI models and algorithms
Analyze and preprocess large data sets to extract meaningful insights
Conduct data analysis and preprocessing to back AI projects
Contribute to the creation of AI-powered products or services
Participate in research and development activities
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in computer science, data science, or related fields, in the United States
Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality
Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
