Compass Lexecon is hiring Analyst Interns for its Competition and Finance Practices during Summer 2027. The 10-week internship involves quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis, preparation of visualizations, communication of findings, and quality control of work products.

Responsibilities

Conduct quantitative research and analysis, including compiling, cleaning, and, analyzing large data sets
Conduct qualitative research and analysis, including reviewing, summarizing, and identifying relevant information from academic papers, analyst reports, press releases, industry literature and a wide range of documents produced in litigation
Create tables, charts, and other visual representations of analyses
Summarize and communicate research and analytical findings to team members
Ensure accuracy of work product using established audit and quality control processes

Qualification

Required

Strong academic background pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, finance, or a related quantitative field
Candidates should be completing their third year of college or their last year of a master's program
Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative research and analytical skills
Strong interest in Economics/Finance, statistical programming and data analysis
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred

Significant coursework in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, data science, or other quantitative fields
Introductory knowledge of Stata, SAS, R, Python or other statistical software
Strong time management skills, with the ability to complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
