Takeda is a leading biopharmaceutical company, and they are seeking an Assay Database Champion Intern to contribute to the development of a web-based analytical method database. The intern will work on creating ETL templates in Python and building a searchable framework for data interpretation, collaborating closely with scientific and IT teams.
Compile data from common drug release methods such as SEC, CE-SDS, and others
Build a searchable and intuitive framework for all methods run in Analytical Development
Build extraction templates in Python for unique assays performed & developed in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Generate documentation and user guidelines for final deployment
Qualification
Required
Must have a strong working knowledge of Python and its application
Third-year B.S. or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Candidates should have a strong interest in web-based scientific application development and user experience design
Familiarity in deploying solutions within cloud environments such as AWS
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Effective communication skills
Capacity to collaborate across scientific and IT functions to deliver an accessible and sustainable platform
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later
Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
