Responsibilities

Test new algorithms on spatial transcriptomics data for accuracy and efficiency
Assist in the expansion and optimization of our spatial data analysis pipeline
Work within an interdisciplinary team to integrate cutting-edge tools and technologies and advance the understanding of disease biology
Contribute easily maintainable, robust, and flexible code for spatial analysis pipelines
Interpret and communicate results to team members and a wider audience of interdisciplinary scientists

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field
Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
Expected graduation date between December 2026 – July 2027
Experience working with spatial transcriptomics required, preferably Xenium
Fluent in R and/or Python
Fluent in single-cell RNA-seq analysis
Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Preferred

Expertise in immunology is a plus
Experience with image analysis is a plus
Experience with nextflow and GitHub
