Responsibilities

Gain familiarity with regulated clinical sample testing workflows.
Explore and evaluate AI/ML tools to streamline the handling of sample and assay data for visualization and insight generation.
Present findings and conduct informal training sessions to support team adoption of AI-enhanced practices.
Collaborate with scientists and data analysts to understand current challenges and co-develop AI-driven solutions.

Qualification

Required

Candidates must be currently pursuing a B.A./B.S. in computer science, data science, statistics, or related discipline.
Candidates must be enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship.
Candidates must have completed at least 2 years of study toward a Bachelor’s degree.
Candidates must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August of 2026.
Candidates must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
Candidates must have proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Preferred

Candidates should have prior experience and knowledge in leveraging or developing AI/ML tools.
Candidate should have familiarity with scripting languages (Python, R, or equivalent).
Candidates should have experience in visualizing, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets, for example, in .csv/Excel.
Candidates should be efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should have critical thinking, ability to identify issues and seek solutions.
