Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a Reference Data Analyst Intern for a 4-month internship starting in September 2026. The successful applicant will support the operational activities of the CDO Reference Data Management team, gaining experience in business classification and data analysis while working closely with stakeholders in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

Gain a working knowledge of RBC’s business classification elements
Work as part of an agile team to achieve project goals
Closely work with and respond to Stakeholders
Manage team mailbox and respond to inquiries within standard SLA’s, escalating where required
Learn/Perform basic SQL queries
Sort/Organize large data sets using excel

Qualification

Required

Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on business, administration, finance, economics
Creative and analytical thinker
Effective communications skills, both written and oral
Self-starter with thirst for continuous learning
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred

Basic working knowledge of SQL
Financial Services/Banking experience
Basic working knowledge of Agile methodology
Effective presentation skills
Strong skills in analysis of data and information
