The World Bank Group is a global organization focused on ending poverty and promoting shared prosperity. They are seeking an intern for the WBG Pioneer program to support the Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) Program, assisting with data analysis, knowledge management, and communication efforts.
Responsibilities
Support quantitative and qualitative analysis of PEFA assessment data, including contributions to the World PFM Report and maintenance/updating of the PEFA Data Tracker
Assist with other analytical work drawing on the PEFA database, including trend analysis, cross-country comparisons, and thematic deep-dives (e.g. into PFM pillars, and/or supplementary framework areas, or other PFM interest focus areas)
Help maintain up-to-date information on the PEFA website, including PEFA events
Support the preparation of result/impact stories from PEFA assessments, newsletters, and other outreach activities
Support the preparation and design of PowerPoint presentations for PEFA-related meetings
Provide other support related to data analysis, knowledge products, and communication and visibility as requested by the task team
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or in the final year of, undergraduate program in Accounting, Economics or other Finance related disciplines
Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in English required
Demonstrated interest in development work and the World Bank Group's mission
Preferred
Strong social media skills are added advantage
Candidate professional experience is added advantage (but not necessary)
Additional language – French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic are added advantage
