Myriad Genetics is a leading molecular diagnostic testing and precision medicine company dedicated to advancing health and well-being for all. They are seeking Technical Interns to work on software engineering and data engineering projects, contributing to the development and maintenance of innovative solutions in genomics and data management.
Responsibilities
Interns are paired directly with an engineer, or scientist, to work on projects ranging from shipping patient facing production code to working on new early R&D genomics products
Assist in the integration of data from various sources into the organization's data systems
Contribute to the development and maintenance of data models for databases, ensuring they align with business needs and performance requirements
Support the design and implementation of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure accurate and timely data processing
Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions
Qualification
Required
Experience with an object-oriented programming language: such as Python or Java
Currently enrolled in school majoring in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
Available to work a minimum of 40 hours/week for a summer or fall internship (~3 months)
Excellent communication skills required
Preferred
Experience with Database (SQL or oracle) is a plus
Experience with AWS is a plus
Currently enrolled in school majoring in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics; at least 2 years towards their degree preferred
Have relevant non-traditional software experience such as personal software projects, coding bootcamps, research
