Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated is a Fortune 200 company focusing on life- and health-related solutions. They are seeking summer interns for their Global Technology department to work alongside technology teams on various projects related to software development, cloud services, and project management.
Responsibilities
Provides proactive, highly responsible and confidential support for departmental activities, divisional projects and functions as determined by leadership.
Creates and manages project plans, tracks project progress against milestones, captures, tracks and communicates progress reports, prepares project team meeting agendas, facilitates project discussions and produces notes.
Performs increasingly complex analysis including gathering, formatting, and presenting financial information and other operational metrics across the department / program.
Produces increasingly complex correspondence, collects data and produces spreadsheets, assembles data and produces reports and develops presentation materials as needed.
Coordinates and maintains schedules for individuals and groups; plans, facilitates and oversees internal meetings and events as directed.
Qualification
Required
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or other data or technology-related majors)
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; additional requirements may apply
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Eagerness to learn new skills and technologies
Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
Effective analytical skills to gather information, analyze facts, and draw conclusions
Familiarity with working in a technology-centric organization
Familiarity with the insurance industry
Microsoft Office application experience (Excel, Word, Visio, Teams, SharePoint)
Familiarity with MS Project or equivalent project management tools
Introductory knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
