RTX is an aerospace and defense company, with Pratt & Whitney designing, manufacturing, and servicing aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems. The Production and Field Support Intern will support PW1500G and PW1900G engine programs through flight-data analytics, customer support, event analysis, and root-cause investigations.
Responsibilities
Develop automated processes to query and trend full flight data in support of customer inquiries
Coordinate with Customer Technical Services (CTS) and other Performance System Analysis (PSA) engineers for field guidance to customer requests
Work within a team of engineers focused on supporting production, field, and overhaul
Provide system level event analysis for in-service issues
Query large datasets of full flight data to support root cause investigations
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
* Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree inMechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session
* Must have a minimum of60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session
* Experience with developing analytics of large data sets
* Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
Preferred
* Experience with engine thermodynamics
* Python proficiency with some object-oriented programming knowledge
* Experience with query and filter data using python/SQL to derive a data analytic assessment
* Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience
