They are seeking an Information Technology Intern at their Seguin Plant to assist in the development, testing, and implementation of IT solutions while supporting IT operations and gaining hands-on experience in a corporate environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of IT solutions.
Support IT team with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Participate in the maintenance and upgrade of IT systems and infrastructure.
Help in the creation of technical documentation and user guide.
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled full-time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following fields of study: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics or any technical related degree at the time of application and throughout the program.
Must have 15 completed semester hours before the start of the internship. If a transfer student, must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university.
Minimum 3.0/4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (no rounding) at current institution.
Must be able to relocate at indicated work location for the duration of the internship and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation.
Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
Familiarity with various operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Understanding of basic networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and network protocols.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud services.
Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ability to quickly gain, and effectively apply new skills & knowledge.
Success in collaborating with others of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, and abilities.
Strong written, and verbal communication skills.
Participate in, and build on our inclusive, constructive, and productive work environment.
Preferred
Proficiency in any of the computer software applications or programming languages or technologies.
Examples include: Firewall, IP Subnet planning, .NET, HTML, AWS, and Azure experience.
Previous internship in Information Technology.
Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed.
Ability to work independently and manage time as well as being a collaborative team member.
Able to manage own duties including setting priorities.
Familiar with company policies and procedures.
