Dassault Systèmes is seeking a highly motivated Data Science Intern to join their R&D organization. The role focuses on analyzing operations and software testing data to drive actionable insights and enhance development efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities
Analyze R&D operations and software test data to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on large datasets including test results, defect logs, and system performance metrics
Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across development and testing pipelines
Collaborate with management, software engineers and quality engineers to translate data insights into process improvements
Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to predict defect patterns, test coverage gaps, and resource utilization
Clean, preprocess, and integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., CI/CD systems, issue tracking tools, simulation outputs)
Automate recurring analysis and reporting workflows using scripting and data tools
Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Recent graduate or currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
Strong programming skills in Python or R (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
Working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases
Familiarity with data visualization tools
Understanding of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and basic machine learning concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex insights clearly
