They are seeking a passionate Data Scientist Summer Intern to work alongside experienced professionals on real-world data challenges, gaining hands-on experience in data analysis and machine learning.
Responsibilities
Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets from various sources.
Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
Support the development, training, and validation of machine learning models for predictive analytics and business solutions.
Visualize data and model results using charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate findings effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver actionable results.
Document methodologies, results, and recommendations; present insights to team members and stakeholders.
Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in data science and analytics.
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
Applicants must have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Matplotlib).
Basic understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and contribute to innovative data-driven projects.
Summer interns may work up to 40 hours per week.
