Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas, committed to creating a high-performing culture. They are seeking an intern for the Client Insights and Analytics team, where the intern will assist with report engineering, data analytics, and business relationship management.
Responsibilities
Assist our teams in report engineering, data analytics and data engineering and business relationship management
Work with our relationship managers for business lines including Corporate & Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Global Business Payments and International Corporate and Commercial Banking
Help leverage internal and external client data to facilitate opportunity identification
Support adoption, change management and enhancement of our CRM (client relationship management) system
Attend program meetings, and facilitate organization and follow-up as required
Carry out ad-hoc projects and tasks as required
Qualification
Required
You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education
You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future
You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions/hackathons
You are interested in or have knowledge of the capital markets and wholesale banking business
You have experience working on a major project and/or initiative in a team
You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a matrix-based environment
You have excellent written and oral communication skills
You have advanced experience with Excel
You have experience with programming languages such as Python and C++
You have considerable initiative, curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail
You have a high level of energy, commitment, and a strong sense of teamwork
