Canadian Natural Resources Limited is an oil and gas operator offering students meaningful engineering assignments alongside industry professionals. The Engineering Student will support technology assessments, innovation projects, external collaborations, and digital and AI initiatives involving data analysis, machine learning, SQL, coding, and Power BI.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support of data analysis and assistance for the preparation of various applications
Create reports regarding new technologies in various disciplines
Conduct preliminary technology assessments to determine potential value, applicability, and business impact
Execute small projects related to Technology and Innovation
Support collaboration initiatives with external organizations, including industry associations, technology developers, research organizations, and academic institutions
Support digital and AI initiatives through data wrangling, SQL analysis, machine learning projects, coding assignments, and Power BI dashboard development
Maintain and update technology and project databases, ensuring accurate tracking of innovation initiatives
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Chemical or Mechanical engineering, all other engineering disciplines will be considered
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Required to be physically and mentally fit for work
Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent out of province license
All candidates applying to Canadian Natural must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
Preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft suite of products is considered an asset (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, Spotfire, SQL, or Python is considered an asset
