The Data Analytics Intern will assist in data collection and preprocessing, support predictive model development, and create visualizations to present insights.
Responsibilities
Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of operational, support, testing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) data for aero and aero-derivative engines
Manipulate, data-wrangle, and process internal and external structured and unstructured datasets to prepare them for modeling
Aid in the development, testing, training, and validation of predictive models and forecasts related to supportability, repairability, and general business needs using machine learning techniques
Support the construction and refinement of engine valuation models for bidding and selling, ensuring appropriate parameters to substantiate cost and sell price points
Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or similar front-end applications to present key insights and findings
Document standard work, modeling methodologies, and assumptions, identifying potential for future scalability while remaining compliant with data rights, company policies, and export control laws
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree (in pursuit or obtained) in data science, statistics, analytics, engineering, or closely related fields
Experience with SQL, ERPs (SAP, Epicor, Quantum), CRMs (Salesforce, Dynamics), Python or a coding language, data warehousing (on-prem or cloud), visualization software (Power BI, Tableau)
Experience with data financial, predictive and forecasting modeling and comfortable working with a diverse array of data types
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and clear and concise communication and presentation skills
Business acumen and the ability to identify and provide potential solutions to process inefficiencies or improvements
A can-do entrepreneurial self-starter, resourceful and curious-minded, who can lead him/herself and drive one's own ownership and accountability with minimal supervision
