Ohio Department of Public Safety is seeking a College Intern for its Ohio Homeland Security Critical Infrastructure Unit. The intern will assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing critical infrastructure data, updating GIS datasets, and supporting data quality assurance efforts.
Responsibilities
Assisting in collecting, cleaning, and organizing critical infrastructure data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Ohio Critical Infrastructure Data System (OCIDS) standards
Update and maintain Geographic Information Systems (GIS) datasets and related documentation, utilizing the ArcGIS Online platform
Support data quality assurance efforts by reviewing records for errors, duplicates, or inconsistencies, and coordinating corrections with project team members
Remote meetings and field visits with county representatives to present/demonstrate the capabilities of OCIDS
Additional homeland security related tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university
Be in good standing with the college/university
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0
Be enrolled in at least one course
Be pursuing a degree or finishing a degree
The Major/Field Of Study Should Be In Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Studies, Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Intelligence Analysis/Studies, City/Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Data Science / Analytics
