Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas, dedicated to helping customers achieve success. They are offering a Technology & Analysis Internship/Co-op for the Fall 2026 term, where interns will manage data collection, analyze data, and develop business cases to support strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Proactively identify data needs and manage data collection
Gather business and data requirements to clearly outline business problems, opportunities, and solutions
Follow analytical frameworks: hypothesis development, collecting, preparing, and combining the data from multiple data sources, analyzing data, validation, drawing conclusions, assessing risks, and developing actionable recommendations for the organization
Build and present strong data-driven business cases to drive strategies
Leverage SQL, Python, and data visualization software (Power BI) to develop analytical models that support strategic initiatives and improve business processes
Create reporting through Excel or PowerPoint
Qualification
Required
You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education
You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future
You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions
You have strong knowledge of analytical tools and languages such as SQL, Python, Power BI, SAS, etc
You have a high level of competency with MS Office suite, especially Excel
You are able to clearly identify and articulate key insights and recommendations
You can work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams
