Merck is a pharmaceutical company offering internships through its Human Health Division. The Global Market Access Intern will support real-world projects involving healthcare systems and regulations, research and data analysis, strategy development, and project management while collaborating with global stakeholders to advance patient access to innovative medicines.
Responsibilities
Gaining familiarity with existing data sources
Gathering insights from existing data sources and cross-functional colleagues
Generating novel insights
Analyzing and impactfully summarizing insights
Presenting key insights to Access leaders and stakeholders
Development and presentation of case studies that tell a clear, compelling story around value-based contracting and support local market opportunity assessments
Collaborating with internal global stakeholders to help accelerate patient access to innovative medicines
Creating a poster to present at the end of the internship summarizing the experience and learnings
Qualification
Required
Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, for example: Public Health, Health Economics, Pharmacy, Business Management, Finance, STEM
You have a passion for the pharmaceutical / healthcare industry
You are flexible and thrive in ever-changing environments
You are inquisitive with a passion for exploring new ideas and a drive to learn
You have strong communication skills; able to convey information, actively listen, and foster collaboration with others
You excel at dissecting issues and uncovering insights from data
You thrive in building relationships with other to drive results and achieve shared goals
