Citrin Cooperman is offering a spring internship that allows individuals to explore their career preferences in a real-world setting. Interns will gain experience in accounting, work with clients, and receive mentorship and training focused on the healthcare practice.
Responsibilities
Support the Firm’s mission and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: accountability, collaboration, excellence, and innovation
Become familiar with the Firm’s policies and procedures
How to interact with clients and network with Citrin Cooperman accounting professionals
How to assist with and prepare a variety of cost reports, financial statements and/or tax returns (depending on department)
How to analyze and review financial data for a variety of industries and situations
A working knowledge of accounting research, software, and standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's and/or master's degree in accounting (or pursuing currently)
Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
Great verbal and written communication skills
Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or work experience
Demonstrated academic success
Strong organizational skills and time management
The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
The ability to interact with clients and employees of all levels of the Firm
Preferred
Each intern receives a mentor where they can ask questions and learn more about the role, as well as a week of training with videos targeting the healthcare practice and the overall firm.
