They are seeking a Treasury/Sales Audit & Tax Intern to support the Finance team by focusing on various projects and assignments, including participating in the monthly close process, assisting with sales audit, and tax-related tasks.
Responsibilities
Participate in the monthly close process, which includes performing balance sheet reconciliations (Deposits, Store Credits) investigating any discrepancies and performing clearing activities in SAP
Assist Sales Audit with Daily Credit Card Reconciliation and clearing
Investigate payments in merchant portals (Adyen, Amex)
Assist with monthly journal entries and perform true ups for accounts
Assist with the annual audit
Monthly Sales & Use Tax filing
Compile monthly Sales & Use Tax data
Assist with state Tax Audits by participating on weekly calls with tax advisors and gather supporting documents requested.
Assist with various other tax projects
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree program
Willingness to learn and ability to utilize the internship experience to supplement area of study
Preferred
Excel expertise including utilizing Pivot Tables, V-Lookups
Knowledge of SAP and Retail POS software
