Coinbase is a cryptocurrency exchange and cryptocurrency wallet platform that allows users to buy, sell, and store various cryptocurrencies. They are seeking a Tax Information Reporting Intern to support the day-to-day operations of the global tax information reporting and withholding function, focusing on compliance and process improvements. The intern will collaborate with various teams to ensure accuracy in data and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance testing on data to ensure accuracy and determine if there are gaps
- Estimate form and transaction volumes for our IRS 1099-DA filings and print and production estimates
- Prepare a summary of findings for Broker Reporting Regulation Project team
Qualification
Required
- Strong analytical skills
- Excel or Google Sheets experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding detail-orientation and process-orientation skills.
- Collaborative and positive orientation.
- Willingness to pivot and learn.
Preferred
- Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in finance, accounting, business administration or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of SQL.
- Experience working with Snowflake, Looker or similar analytic tools.
