The Fixed Income Credit Research Intern will support the 40|86 Investment Research team by analyzing companies and industries, maintaining financial models, monitoring market developments, and preparing investment research materials.
Responsibilities
Assist with research and analysis of companies and industries to support the investment team's decision-making process
Help build, update, and maintain financial models under the guidance of senior analysts and portfolio managers
Monitor company news, earnings releases, and industry developments, and summarize key findings for the investment team
Collaborate with analysts, portfolio managers, and traders by gathering data, preparing reports, and supporting investment-related projects
Prepare presentations, market updates, and research summaries to help inform team discussions and investment reviews
Qualification
Required
Progress towards a bachelor's degree in finance, economics or related discipline
Status as a rising junior or rising senior, approx. graduation dates of December 2027-June 2029
Availability to work 40 hrs/week for 10-12 weeks during the summer
Candidates for this role need to reside within a 60-mile radius of the corporate office (Carmel, IN; or Chicago, IL) and will be required to come into that office
Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States
Preferred
Prior internship experience
Balancing education and a part time job during the school year
Participation with university clubs
Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours
