dsm-firmenich is a nutrition, health, and beauty pioneer that combines vital nutrients, flavors, and fragrances. They are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join their Financial Control & Accounting team, providing hands-on experience in corporate accounting and financial operations.
Responsibilities
Assist with daily bookkeeping and financial data entry using ERP software (SAP)
Support the preparation and review of monthly journal entries and account maintenance
Help compile documentation for internal control, internal and external audits
Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Participate in the month-end and quarter-end close processes
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and assist with cost center analysis
Maintain organized records and assist with digital archiving of financial documents
Collaborate with team members on process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
Preferred
Strong academic standing (GPA 3.0 or above preferred)
Familiarity with accounting software is a plus
