CME Group is currently looking for a Global Assurance Audit Summer Intern. This role involves assisting Global Assurance with day-to-day activities in support of Business and Operations Internal Audits, executing audits, and developing professional skepticism to understand processes and assess risk.
Responsibilities
Create accurate, logical and detailed workpapers clearly describing the work performed, results of testing and conclusions reached
Maintain positive and collaborative business relationships with Global Assurance's clients (auditees) to support effective and efficient audit execution
Execute audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and verify compliance with corporate policies and procedures
Partner with more senior members of the GA team to provide recommendations to management for strengthening controls and work with management to develop acceptable solutions to mitigate risk
Build knowledge of the CME Group's operations, including policies and procedures and any applicable regulatory requirements
Incorporate data analytics and Generative AI tools to enhance audit assurance and streamline documentation
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a BA/BS or Master's/Advanced Degree
Desired majors include Accounting or Finance
Hybrid Schedule - able to come into the CME Group Chicago Office
Able to work 40 hours per week
Basic experience with Google Workspace applications

Experience with data analytics, including visualization and scripting tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView, Business Objects, SQL, or Python) is a plus
