Coinbase is a cryptocurrency exchange and cryptocurrency wallet platform that allows users to buy, sell, and store various cryptocurrencies. The Internal Audit Function at Coinbase is seeking interns to support SOX, Operational, and Information Technology and Security audits, providing hands-on experience in audit planning, testing, and report writing. Interns will also assist with critical audit activities, such as validations of audit findings and risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Promote new ideas / innovative means of executing projects and internal enhancements focused on process or technology improvements
- Facilitate discussions with process/controls owners in reviewing IA’s documentation of relevant processes
- Assess and develop recommendations regarding IA policies and procedures
- Assist the IA team with the execution of IT, finance, operational, and compliance audits
- Create accurate, logical and detailed work-papers clearly describing the work performed, testing results and conclusions for audit projects
- Develop and maintain process documentation
- Present findings and recommendations to IA leadership

Preferred
- Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Accounting/Finance, Computer Sciences, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- Understanding of an internal control environment
- Knowledge of finance/banking concepts
- Crypto knowledge
- Proficient in Excel and Google Suite including Powerpoint/Slides
- Data Analytics skills
