Kinross Gold Corporation is a Canadian-based senior gold mining company with operations in multiple countries. They are seeking a Finance Intern to assist with financial reporting and consolidation functions, providing students with real-world experience in the mining industry.
Responsibilities
Participation in the 2026 year-end and 2027 first quarter external financial reporting process, including:
Preparation of supporting schedules
Analysis of contracts and financial information
Coordination of deliverables with external auditors
Benchmarking financial statement disclosures against peers
Preparing financial report tie-outs
Assistance with other ad-hoc requests and analyses
Assist in the preparation of the monthly working capital analysis
Assist in the preparation of other corporate financial reporting documents, including the Annual Information Form, Management Information Circular, Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) report, and the Sustainability report
Qualification
Required
2nd or 3rd year Business - Accounting/Finance (or related) program from a recognized educational institution with an excellent academic record
Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to undertake various tasks
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
Ability to learn quickly and to work well in a team environment
Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred
Desire to pursue a CPA designation considered an asset
Spanish, French, or Portuguese language abilities considered an asset
