MGM Resorts International is a leading company in the hospitality industry, and they are seeking a Finance Intern at MGM National Harbor. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and strategic project work while collaborating with finance professionals and leading a capstone project.
Responsibilities
Orientation and Team Integration: Interns will kick off their experience with MGM’s dynamic orientation, followed by introductions to the Finance team and key leaders across the property. This is your opportunity to build connections, learn the company culture, and get familiar with the tools and resources you’ll use throughout your internship
Training and Development: From reviewing past projects to learning our reporting standards, interns will gain exposure to real financial processes that support property operations. You’ll develop analytical skills, strengthen your proficiency in Excel, and gain insight into how data influences business strategy
Capstone Project and Department Exposure: Interns will take the lead on a meaningful capstone project—conducting research, analyzing trends, and collaborating with mentors and subject matter experts. You’ll also attend department meetings, including P&L and strategic planning sessions, to see finance in action
Presentation and Program Wrap-Up: Interns will prepare and present their final project to senior leadership, showcasing their findings and recommendations in a professional setting. The program concludes with feedback sessions, reflection on accomplishments, and next-step career discussions
Qualification
Required
At least 18 year old
High School Diploma or GED
Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree at an accredited college or university
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with data analysis
Eager to learn and take initiative on independent projects
