Bunge is a global agribusiness and food company operating in the farm-to-consumer food chain. The Corporate Accounting Intern will support the Corporate Accounting and External Reporting teams in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation and analysis of financial statements and SEC filings.
Responsibilities
Support monthly financial close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and performance of internal controls.
Support the preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and statement of stockholders' equity.
Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Form 10-Q and Form 8-K, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
Assist in the research, analysis, and drafting of financial statement footnotes and other disclosures.
Assist in conducting research on technical accounting issues.
Analyze financial data, identify trends, and prepare supporting schedules and documentation
Assist in the maintenance and documentation of internal controls.
Participate in various projects related to M&A, process improvements, system implementations, and other ad-hoc requests.
Work closely with other teams within the finance organization, including Treasury, Tax, and FP&A.
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
