The Corporate Accounting Intern will assist in the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process and the development of the financial reporting platform, while also focusing on process improvements and training within the Corporate Accounting department.
Responsibilities
Create process improvements within our Workiva Wdesk Software as a Service (SaaS) solution to increase accuracy and timeliness of reporting
Redesign and expand validations throughout the interconnected documents to ensure proper links have been created
Work directly with our Workiva customer success manager to understand new tools and use that knowledge to train others within the Corporate Accounting department
Integrate monthly reporting cycle within Workiva
Assist in the review of quarterly 10-Q and 8-K XBRL tagging
Exposure to our Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) tool SAP
Assisting in the identification of improvement opportunities and development of action plans
Contributing to the development and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure monthly and quarter reporting is timely and accurate
Managing positive relationships with internal partners to deliver results and support business performance
Qualification
Required
Progress towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0, preferred
Be in or going into your junior or senior year of college
Ability to work on site 3 days a week during the summer internship term
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day
Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a junior or non-graduating senior.
