Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution company that has acquired Parkland Corporation. They are seeking an Accounting Intern to support the Financial Reporting and Accounting teams through core accounting activities, data analysis, and reporting processes.
Responsibilities
Assist the Financial Reporting and General Accounting teams with day-to-day activities
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
Perform data analysis and reconcile financial information
Prepare reports and assist with documentation as required
Collaborate with team members on ongoing projects and process improvements
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Available for a 4-month term beginning in September 2026
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the country in which they applied
Final candidates will be required to undergo a confidential pre-employment background check, including but not limited to educational, criminal, credit, drug and alcohol, and/or fitness for duty testing
Preferred
Students in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of study preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems is an asset
